Overview
Automates the handling of parcels that customs cannot match to a person or a valid invoice. The customs list becomes ClickUp tasks, customers are asked to upload a video or an invoice, and a mobile web panel lets the company’s customs officer review the evidence and approve or reject each parcel.

- PostgreSQL
- Node.js

Parcels that stalled
Some parcels reach customs without a clear recipient or a valid invoice. They were handled through spreadsheets, calls and messages, the customs officer had no tool for looking at the evidence on the spot, and parcels stalled without anyone knowing where they stood.
Three chained workflows
The first n8n workflow parses the customs XML from an upload form into Postgres, checking for duplicates. The second groups the parcels by person and enriches them from the company’s parcel records and RS.GE. The third creates a ClickUp parent task per person with a subtask for each tracking number, plus invoices and products, for both brands. A ClickUp space with 7 statuses, 30 custom fields and 7 views drives the process; customers get the video-invoice instructions, and their forms.app uploads land in the task with the video compressed by ffmpeg.
A panel for the customs officer
The panel (Express and vanilla JS, built mobile-first) reads from ClickUp: five tabs from 'received' to 'sent', search, expandable cards and one-tap status actions that write back to ClickUp. A built-in viewer shows photos, video and PDFs (PDF.js through an authenticated file proxy) with swipe navigation. It runs in Docker behind Nginx Proxy Manager with TLS and a session login.
Result
In the first test, 75 parcels were grouped into 47 recipients, giving 47 parent tasks and 75 subtasks in ClickUp. The customs panel has been live since 30 April 2026.
