London Spot admin panel

Overview

An admin panel in Georgian in which the shop’s owners manage about 5,700 products, almost all single units. It keeps the catalogue in PostgreSQL and republishes the static storefront after every change, so manual edits are no longer lost when the data is regenerated.

The need

The catalogue was generated by a data pipeline into static files, so every rerun wiped manual edits. The owners had no tool of their own to change prices, mark items sold, hide damaged units or add new products day to day.

Specification first

The panel was specified before any code: 71 required features with 332 acceptance criteria, checked against the site’s SEO contract. It runs as a separate Node 24 process with a plain JavaScript interface on the site’s own CSS kit and PostgreSQL 17 as the single master, and a worker-thread publisher regenerates the storefront after each change. An orchestrated team of AI coding agents built it to that specification, through checkpoints reviewed by the product owner.

What it does

Owners sign in with roles and password reset, search products by the tail of the code, and use views, filters and bulk actions with preview and undo: hide, show, sold, write off, bin, dated discounts and category moves. A product page holds photos, stock, damage notes, history and a site preview, and a read-only POS sync and an import job with a dry run and a plan digest that refuses unexpected changes complete it. In production it runs under systemd on its own host with __Host- cookies and nightly backups, and each deploy ships the site and the admin from one commit.

Result

In production since 11 October 2026 and the catalogue’s master since then. At Checkpoint 3 all 489 Node tests and 798 Chromium browser tests passed, and the top 10 owner tasks were completed 10 of 10 on phone and desktop.
